It used to be black and white – now it’s all full of colors🎨

It used to be all in one piece, now it’s all cut up ✂️ – and he calls them collages.

This is the shorter way to describe both the present work and the creative process of Chinese artist Yufan Wang. At some point he decided to stop producing new art works, instead he would upcycle what had already created. This creative challenge took his art in new directions – so far to the point of colorful collages with a beautiful painterly texture. The title Collage to Win is inspired by a Chinese pop song, which Wang used to listen to when he was young - “Fight to Win” it is called. Now, many years later, he realizes that in Chinese the title has a double meaning, meaning also Collage to Win. “A perfect coincidence, he says, since this is exactly what I am looking for in my collage work”.

Come see the art works, meet the artist, buy a beer and talk to old and new friends. Everybody is welcome – and of cause, we’re going to check out the aforementioned Chinese pop-song 🎵😊
