Søndag d. 4. maj holder Spinderihallerne åbent, med spot på kunst og kunstnere i huset.

Du kan opleve to aktuelle udstillinger, nemlig gruppeudstillingen Wrestling Udstilling // Wrestling - Spinderihallerne og soloudstillingenThe Things We Carry Udstilling // The Things We Carry - Spinderihallerne. I forbindelse med udstillingerne vil der være rundvisninger, artist talks, åbne værksteder hos nogle af husets kunstnere, samt workshops, hvor du kan lære at lave collage, dyrke dine egne svampe (!) og skære dine egne passepartouts.
I dagens anledning, har vi inviteret Spinderihallernes Vin & Vinyl fællesskab til at spille Bowie plader som underlægningsmusik til udstillingen Wrestling, hvor David Bowie spiller en central rolle.
Vores hyggelige café byder på brunch, en lækker vegetarisk frokostret, samt kaffe og kage. Kulturmuseet vil også være åbent med deres spritnye udstilling Under Krigen i anledning af 80-årsdagen for Danmarks befrielse 4. maj 1945. Læse mere om udstillingen på museets egen hjemmeside. Der er gratis adgang til huset, mens workshops kræver tilmelding (se længere nede på siden)
Dagens program er for alle kunst- og kulturinteresserede borgere. Og er du kunstner og nysgerrig på, hvad Spinderihallerne tilbyder og arbejder med på kunstområdet, så er det også en go’ dag at kigge forbi og få en snak med husets kunstnere og kunstfaglige personale.
Program:
Kl. 10:00 – 12:00: Lækker brunch i cafeen
Kl. 10:00 – 16:00: Kulturmuseet er åben med udstillingen Under Krigen – læs mere om udstillingen på Kulturmuseets hjemmeside.
Kl. 11:00 – 16:00: Åbne værksteder i ArtZone, Spinderihallernes kunstnermiljø. Drop forbi til en kop kaffe og en uformel snak med kunstnerne i deres værksteder.
Kl. 12:00 – 14:00: Frokost i cafeen - Dejlig Dhal m. brød og salat
Kl. 11:30 – 12:30 : Spinderihallernes Vin og Vinylfællesskab spiller Bowieplader i udstillingen. David Bowie spiller en central rolle som underlægningsmusik til Wrestling-udstillingen. Kom og (gen)hør musikken, og drik evt. et glas vin i selskab med vinylvenderne!
Kl. 12:30: Guidet tour of the group show Wrestling (in English) with 5 participating artists, Joseph Cartwright, Maria Salgado, Phil Scott, Stig Spangsberg and Yufan Wang.
Kl. 13:00: Artists talk - The participating artists of Wrestling will talk about and show examples of what and who inspires them in their artistic practice. In English.
Kl. 13:30 – 16:00: Workshops (tilmeld dig nedenfor)

3. Skær din egen passepartout! v/ kunstner Kåre Deichmann – i Studio M9. Der er plads til i alt 9 deltagere fordelt på tre rul à hver 1,5 time.

On Sunday, May 4th, Spinderihallerne opens its doors with a special focus on art and the artists in the house.
You can experience two current exhibitions:
The group exhibition Wrestling // Wrestling – Spinderihallerne Udstilling // Wrestling - Spinderihallerne and The solo exhibition The Things We Carry // The Things We Carry – Spinderihallerne Udstilling // The Things We Carry - Spinderihallerne. In connection with the exhibitions, there will be guided tours, artist talks, and open studios hosted by some of the resident artists. You can also participate in workshops where you’ll learn to make collages, grow your own mushrooms (!), and cut your own passepartouts.
To mark the occasion, we’ve invited the Vin & Vinyl community from Spinderihallerne to spin David Bowie records as background music for the Wrestling exhibition, where Bowie plays a central role.
Our cozy café will be serving brunch, a delicious vegetarian lunch dish, as well as coffee and cake. The Cultural History Museum will also be open, presenting its brand-new exhibition During the War, launched in honor of the 80th anniversary of Denmark’s liberation on May 4th, 1945 (You can read more about this exhibition on the museum's website)
This day is for all art and culture enthusiasts. And if you’re an artist curious about what Spinderihallerne offers and works with in the art field, this is a perfect opportunity to stop by, have a chat with the house's artists, and meet the art professionals behind the scenes.

11:00 – 16:00: Open studios in ArtZone. Drop by for a cup of coffee and an informal chat with the artists in their studios.
12:00 – 14:00: Lunch in the café hearty Dhal with bread and salad
11:30 – 12:30: Wine & Vinyl: Bowie edition Spinderihallerne’s Wine & Vinyl community plays David Bowie records in the Wrestling exhibition, where Bowie plays a central role. Come (re)discover the music and enjoy a glass of wine with the vinyl spinners!
12:30: Guided tour (in English) of the group show Wrestling. With participating artists: Joseph Cartwright, Maria Salgado, Phil Scott, Stig Spangsberg, and Yufan Wang
13:00: Artist Talk (in English) The Wrestling artists share insights and inspiration behind their artistic practice.
